I have also, of course, deleted the link et al to the programmers at the footer of the nav frame because, you know, it doesn't make sense to have that if I'm not using their program.

• Ugh! Getting rid of the tabs script. It's too much trouble in a dynamic website.

• UPCOMING EVENTS: Streamlined the photo galleries to be super awesome using Highslide JS! The only downside is that the page (actually, the whole site) lags slightly to severely (depending on your connection and computer speed). It took me *all day* to learn and code this script though, so it's staying up there for at least a little while, damnit!

• EDITOR: Did some serious revamping on the layout. It's definitely better, although still slightly cluttered. It'll have to do for now though. Also added a second testimonial there to help balance out the section.
• AUTHOR: Added a new, full-length testimonial. In order to accommodate that, I split the page into two columns. Also added a standard snippet-length testimonial.

• EDITOR: Fiddled about with the layout some more. There's too much content for a single page, but I'm running into some technical issues with (my level of) coding and some scripts that are already in use. I've employed some minor "cheats" (pop-up windows).

• AUTHOR: After adding the playable mp3 of German band Interlude's rendition of Nightstand Angel, I fiddled around with improving the page's layout. I think it looks good like this.
• NAV MENU: Updated the link to my blog now that the URL changed after Blogger shut down their FTP service. Also replaced the text in the upper right corner with my picture since I realized I only have one or two other pictures of myself on the site, which you'll likely have to hunt for to find.
• WELCOME PAGE: Fiddled with the layout ever so slightly here. Shortened up the horizontal lines and put all that text into a box with a white background so it's easier to read regardless of how individual computers display that shade of red. I hope this results in less eye strain all around.

• EDITOR: Made some minor revisions while fiddling with the formatting some more. Definitely looking much better.

There's enough room for at least a third column. I just need to figure out the best use of column space vs. organization of information.

1. Ha! I finally found the time to do some serious renovations here! My main focus as of late has been to streamline all the information here, so I've cut out a lot of extraneous materials (ie, the Photography, Videography and Martial Arts sections).
2. I've also done away with nav-buttons in favor of text links. It's not as stylish, but there's no sense in going through the trouble of making custom buttons when I'm likely to change them next week. So that's the way it's going to be. At least until I feel confident about the permanence of each section.
3. The Scrapbook section has been combined with the News Column. This cuts down on clutter and claustrophobia.

1. Condensed Photography & Videography sections into one...still need to get the new button up, so for now both buttons will link to the same condensed page.
2. More photographs will be posted in the future...

I changed the background colors on the Samples page and the font colors on the About page because they were, well, obnoxious. I also made the menu on the About page less obnoxious. I also added a new section: Book Reviews. So far there's only one review up, but more should follow shortly.

I've been really busy lately with work, but I've managed to add a new section -- the Samples Section! Until I get more work published, or I get really bored, there are four samples of poetry from Twombly McGreen vs. The Mean Steam Machineto whet your appetite;as well as my July 2006 article on easy eyecare for Mohawk Valley: In Good Health. I also added a little graphic on the mainpage -- just for fun.

New book in the works! I've got a new book in the works. The working title is Mr. Maro's Awesome Adventure! It is an epic poem in the style of a fairy tale that follows the exploits of an outdoorsman.
